Wow – what a treat for Ian and I having the lovely Paul Hunter who played Napoleon Bonaparte, in Napoleon Disrobed, at the Stephen Joseph Theatre this week stayed with us.
We, along with some friends went along to see the performance on Saturday night – in fact the final night of the show. We were not disappointed, it was lively to say the least, fun, wild at times, historic (interestingly so) and full of energy and wit. Marvellous! We all thoroughly enjoyed it and take our hats off to Paul Hunter and Ayesha Antoine for their boundless energy, skill and ability to interact so well with the audience and total command of the stage and the many props used!!
The play is a comic alternative history based on the novel `The Death of Napoleon` by Simon Leys. We would highly recommend it.
It was a pleasure for us to have Paul stay with us during the week and hope we see him again in the future. A warm welcome awaits him anytime.

“in this amusing and anarchic production, both performers have excellent stage presence, and the set design, simple but effective, is nothing short of ingenious.”
