Spring has finally sprung – or has it??? After what seems like months of damp, dreary weather we have been blessed with beautiful sunshine and very hot temperatures…dare I say it – too hot at times!
The sunny days have made it possible for me to get my paintbrush out at the front of the house and the back – always so much to do to keep us looking pristine! I have also managed to paint our garden furniture which is now looking fresh and inviting! Have loved being out in the garden and overnight it has become a sensation of colour with our tulips opening up exhibiting vibrant colours to cheer us all up. The buds on the trees have suddenly appeared so I guess things will start to grow now.
Ian has done a sterling job cleaning out our little pond, it is quite a job but well worth doing. We have two lovely fish still with us (did have four) and they are looking really healthy – hope they like their fresh water and clean environment. Also found a newt in the pond – wondering how it got there?
So onward and upwards – looking forward to our guests, old and new and hopefully having continuous sunshine throughout the season! (Fat chance!!)
